    Senior Cost Estimator SME


    The contractor shall provide support in planning, organizing advising, and conducting IT management information systems cost estimating/training tasks in problem areas of moderate scope and complexity. The problems are difficult to define, and may require novel approaches and the use of sophisticated techniques. Has moderately extensive technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments. Keeps abreast of new IT management information systems cost estimating methodologies, databases, and tools. Makes technical cost estimating decisions, which are considered authoritative and which demonstrate mature cost estimating judgment in anticipating and solving complex cost analysis problems. Work requires the technical capability to assess the cost and schedule implications of existing and projected technological advances, as well as being able to evaluate the impact of new and innovative acquisition strategies. Work is reviewed by the TO Manager or Contractor Task Lead to ensure it satisfies customer needs and complies with the Government's overall estimating standards.

     


    Required minimum education and experience:

    Experience:

    A Senior Cost Estimator SM£ has a minimum seven years' ofrelated experience
    with at least three years' IT management information systems acquisition cost analysis
    experience and a Master's degree, or a minimum of ten years' experience with at least three years' IT management information systems experience, acquisition cost analysis experience, and a Bachelor's degree. A Senior Cost Estimator SME labor category has at least two years' team management experience.

     

    Education:

    BS/BA/Masters with 24 semester hours in quantitative analysis courses, which must
    include at least three semester hours of Calculus and three semester hours in Statistics.
