  • Overview

    Successful candidate will provide EPASS Advisory and Assistance Services to the Battle Management Directorate (AFLCMC/HB) at the AF Life-Cycle Management Center (previously the Electronic Systems Center). The projects we are supporting are: Force Protection Division (AFLCMC/HBU), HBAB-DILS, HBAB-DRAPCON, HBBA-AOC, HBBC-GCCS-AF, HBD - WAS, HBN, HBS-CNU, HBS-IPEC, HBSB-CID, HBSG-ACIP, HBSG-EP, HBV-IAMD.  This position will have to interface with a team of military, Government civilian, contractor project managers and FFRDC/A&AS support personnel in the day-to-day activities associated with management of HB’s projects, programs and initiatives.

    Qualifications

    Ranges from, Level I: BA/BS, 4 years of experience; or  8 years of directly relatable experience;  to Level III: Advanced Degree (MA/MS) and 12 years of experience (5 years DoD), or BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience (5 years DoD), or 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications (8 DoD).

     

    Note: Oasis has some flexibility to swap experience for degree requirements and vice-versa.

    IT Certifications are a plus.

     

    ADDITIONAL INFO:

    Travel: Occasional CONUS/OCONUS travel may be required.

     

     

     

    SECURITY CLEARANCE/LEVEL REQUIRED:

    Secret, Top Secret clearance (depending on location); or as a minimum, the ability to obtain a clearance

     

    Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge and skill in applying engineering theories, principles, concepts, standards, and methods sufficient to extend or modify theories, concepts, and assumptions; resolve unique or novel problems, conditions, or issues; or significantly alter standard practices, equipment, devices, processes, and known techniques; provide expert advice to professional colleagues and/or agency officials responsible for broad program operations; provide significant and innovative recommendations for advancing programs and/or methods; and execute significant projects representing an important segment of the agency’s operating programs. The individual exercises judgment and ingenuity in evaluating the value and applicability of new or improved technology, strategies, trends, or applications; investigating, predicting, and anticipating issues and conditions extending beyond a single specialty area, and affecting known standards, approaches, precedents, or concepts; developing or collaborating in the formulation of new standards, applications, concepts, or theories changing existing knowledge and extending an understanding of phenomena; assessing and carrying out strategies and actions to affirm the integrity, economy, quality, and effectiveness of engineering, or scientific programs; or advocating recommendations, strategies, and actions to reconcile or resolve novel, conflicting, or controversial issues or policies.

     

    General Responsibilities:

    • Works with assigned administrative, and matrixed acquisition support, financial management, engineering contracting, configuration and data management, and other staff.
    • Works with the Oasis Task Lead and Oasis teammates to document processes, and initiate and implement AFSO21 Rapid Improvement Events, Training Events and mentoring sessions for all task personnel.
    • Responsible for developing Integrated Master Schedule inputs, and tracking and reporting on Progress for assigned program(s).
    • Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, and other technical documentation.
    • Facilitates and supports Division meetings and reviews, team building, strategic planning, and other on- and off-site activities.
    • Assists as needed in preparing and reviewing program/project documentation, e.g. Determinations and Findings, Justifications and Approvals, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Statement Of Objectives (SOOs), Statements-of-Work (SOWs), Program Implementation Packages (PiPs), Performance Works Statements (PWS), Systems/Technical Requirements Documents (SRD/TRD), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Program Support Agreements (PSA), EMAs, 1067s, etc. and assist in source selections.
    • Performs other duties as required.
