Provide Systems Engineering support to the Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division (AFLCMC/HBQ), which is within the Battle Management Directorate (AFLCMC/HB) at Peterson AFB, CO.




  • Bachelor’s Degree in related engineering discipline and a minimum of 5 years work experience, with experience on DoD or Air Force acquisition programs desirable.

  • Experience with Combatant Commanders Integrated Command and Control System (CCIC2S) system, subsystems, message traffic, and related data is highly desirable.

  • Experience/knowledge of Legacy Space Systems and/or space operations experience is a plus.

  • Candidate must have an active US security clearance.



  • This position will support the COBRA DANE Program office within HBQ Division

  • COBRA DANE System Engineering support
    • Participate in Commander's inspection Program (using Management Internal Control Tool)
    • Review COBRA DANE Life Cycle Systems Engineering area
    • Author of the COBRA DANE addendum to the Ground Based Radar Systems Engineering Plan
    • Assist with review of COBRA DANE Owning Technical Baseline Assessment for Modular Open Systems Approach (to Acquisition) review
    • COBRA DANE System Requirements Document contributor/updater
  • COBRA DANE Re-Compete Support:
    • Process Comment Resolution Matrices from the branch, division and external stakeholders for the COBRA DANE Re-compete Request for Proposal's Performance Work Statements and Contract Data Requirements Lists
    • Coordinate changes to the Performance Work Statements with other members of the Request for Proposal team
    • Update the on-line COBRA DANE re-compete bidder's library with COBRA DANE and DoD documentation
    • Provide advice and assistance to the COBRA DANE Program Office for the COBRA DANE re-compete source selection
