Overview

SUMMARY:

Provide Systems Engineering support to the Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR) program office, which is within the Strategic Warning & Surveillance Systems (SW&SS) Division, located at Peterson AFB, CO.

 

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related work experience.
  • Previous experience in a Dept. of Defense setting is desired.
  • Experience/knowledge of DoD System Security Engineering and hgte Risk Management Framework (RMF) is desired.

  • Working knowledge of AF System Safety Engineering activities.
  • Ability to conduct plannnig & scxheduling for site activation and testing.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office products.

  • Must have an active US security clearance.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaulate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance are achieved in accordance with approved specifications.
  • Perform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systems engineering preograms, design and test results.
  • Prepare technical documents which define, specifiy and recommend system/subsystem characteristics.
  • Prepare management reports ands conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation and correctrive action using application of engineeing economy principles.
  • Perform validation of systems, including development of criteria and procedures.
  • Analyze and/or evaluate results of major engineering systems.
  • Provide engineering support services and inpuits to program and project risk management activities, in accordance with Air Force SEAM processess.
