Overview

SUMMARY:

Provide Software Engineering support to the Business Enterprise Services Division (AFLCMC/HIC) at Randolph AFB, TX.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a engineering related field
  • COTS software support experience (3 years)
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS is a plus)
  • VMware Administration experience
  • Understanding of and experience working with applications developed in the following technologies: HTML, XML, WebServices, Java, JavaScript, Oracle; Web development frameworks such as J2EE, .NET, IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM HTTP web server, IIS, SQL Server, Red Hat Linux, Windows Server 2008 & 2012.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Candidate must be able to obtain, and maintain, the proper personnel clearance for this position.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

  • Select automation tools to meet automation requirements and industry best practices.
  • Design, implement and document comprehensive test tools and scenarios in an extensible, repeatable and robust manner.
  • Automate complex test tools and scenarios across a wide range of platforms (Java and .NET based)
  • Report issues and collaborate with developers, testers, system engineers and project managers
  • Update test tool automation based on updated requirements, new software development activities (ALM, StarTeam, Caliber RM)
  • Perform software/system engineering duties in support of the PMO tools office.
  • COTS software subject matter expert providing technical guidance to government leadership. 
  • As a PMO Tools engineer, lead the effort to migrate all PMO Tools to the new cloud infrastructure.
  • Maintain all engineering documentation, baseline inventory (software, hardware) and designs to reflect current system architecture.
  • Coordinate COTS software packages for Air Force security approval.
  • Interface (face to face/ telephone meetings) with all current and potential software vendors as a technical expert for the PMO Tools organization.
