Provide technical support to the Force Protection Division, which is located within the Battle Management Direcorate.
The Division is located at Hanscom AFB, MA but has a new working location at Shaw AFB, SC.
The desired candidate needs to have specific frequency management
background, and/or thorough knowledge of spectrum management
Due to the nature of the capability. this person will be responsible for
understanding the frequency management approval process, working all
frequency management packages, and coordinating with both AFLCMC,
AFGSC, other DoD and federal organizations (such as FAA and OSD staff)
to ensure delivered capability can be utilized as needed to meet critical
Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Position will be based at Shaw AFB, but may be required to travel on TDY to CONUS locations.
Develop/review technical guidance, technical artifacts, and recommendations for legacy engineering and integration processes; analyzing/assessing dependencies, and compliance with standards for engineering, system interfaces, test, and technology insertion.
Provide support for and participate in (a) studies and analyses, (b) review and evaluation of technical specifications/documentation, designs, analyses, and test processes/plans/procedures/results, and (c) development and review Statements of Work and subsequent contractor proposals.
Provide technical expertise to counsel the Program Office on hardware/software development performance, metrics of progress and performance, compliance, verification of processes and configuration management.
Supports Government efforts to ensure delivered capabilities are integrated in a manner which support operational and technical requirements and scheduled deliveries.
Attend requirements, design reviews, and technical interchange meetings with prime contractors providing technical evaluations of analyses and tradeoff activities, assessments of contractor technical efforts, and recommendations to the Program Office.
Organize/develop content for project engineering milestones (e.g., Engineering Review Panel) to ensure community understanding; requirements, level of test required, and the level of effort to perform the project.
