Provide environmental engineering support to the Wide Area Surveillance (WAS) Program, which is within the Battle Management Directorate (AFLCMC/HB) at Hanscom AFB, MA
Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of civil engineering experience
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an Integrated Product team (IPT) environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in MS Office suite
Experience on DoD or Air Force acquisition programs desired
Candidate must be able to obtain, and maintain the proper personnel clearance for this position
Participate in interdisciplinary site survey teams with program office and systems contractor personnel to provide installation-specific environmental data to each location and implementation schedules.
Provide technical management of deployment activities including but not limited to; technical evaluations of contractor budgets , costs, environmental assessments, site surveys, designs, preparation and equipment installation and test and acceptance of WAS.
Solve engineering problems (or manage the solution of engineering problems) in the program or functional area to which assigned
Provide scientific and procedural guidance and documentation essential to comply with public environmental laws, DoD Directives and Air Force instructions.
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology and environmental laws associated with WAS sites as assigned
Participate in special projects and source selections as required.
